Charles "Chuck"
Buswell
|
Chuck Buswell
was raised in the Tomah area and
graduated from Tomah High School, the
University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and
the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary
Science, Milwaukee. He also is a U.S.
Army veteran who served in Vietnam
Prior to purchasing the former
Langlois-Galston Funeral Home, Chuck had been
employed by funeral homes in Tomah, Racine, and
Eau Claire. Chuck has over 40 years of
experience as a funeral director and an
embalmer.
He is a “life” member of the Masons, the
American Legion, the American Veterans, and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also is a member
of the Black River Falls Lions Club (past
president, past secretary, past zone chairman,
Melvin Jones Fellow) and is a founder and board
member of Project Christmas of Jackson County,
WI, Inc.
Chuck and his wife, Ruth, have a
daughter, Paula (husband, Terry) and two
grandsons, Matthias and Christoph.
Chuck enjoys spending time with family
and friends, especially his grandsons. He also
enjoys hiking, bicycling, reading, traveling,
working in his home workshop, fishing, and
spending time at the family cabin.

Ruth
Buswell
|
Ruth
Buswell, Chuck’s wife,
was born and raised in the Galesville area. She
is a graduate of Healy Memorial High School,
Trempealeau, and the University of Wisconsin –
Eau Claire.
Prior to becoming employed at the Buswell
Funeral Home, Ruth was employed as an upper
elementary teacher in Waukesha and Racine. She
also had been employed as a substitute teacher
by the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School
District. In addition to supervising the office
procedures at Buswell Funeral Home, Ruth is
also responsible for the funeral home’s after
care program.
She is a member of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church of America and the Lunda Center
Morning Mermaids. She also is a founder and
board member of Project Christmas of Jackson
County, WI, Inc.
Ruth and Chuck have a daughter, Paula
(husband, Terry), and two grandsons, Matthias
and Christopher.
Ruth enjoys spending time with friends
and family members, especially her
grandsons.
She also enjoys water aerobics,
hardanger, sewing, travel, reading, and
spending time at the family cabin.

Larry
Winkler
|
Larry Winkler
was raised in Rib Lake, Wisconsin and
graduated from Rib Lake High School. He
later attended the University of
Wisconsin – Green Bay and graduated from
Milwaukee Area Technical College
(mortuary science) in West Allis.
Larry’s parents are Jay and Sue Winkler.
He has a sister, Sara
Larry enjoys outdoor activities of all
types, especially baseball, golf, all terrain
vehicles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. He also
enjoys spending time with family members and
friends. He is a member of the Skyline Golf
Course of Black River Falls.
