Frederick Allen Hampel, 73 of Willows, California passed away July 17,2010, at Winsor Chico Creek Care and Rehabilitation. He was born in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on March 12,1937 to Clifford and Virginia Hampel and served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1963 when he left with an honorable discharge. Frederick worked for PG&E for 30 years as a gas service man and was transferred to Willows in 1983. Frederick is survived by his sister Shirley Boehlke; daughter Pamela Hampel; son Frederick Hampel II; grandchildren Sierra Metzel, Zacherie Hampel, AJ Metzel and Ian Hampel. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, WI. Chaplain Kevin Newell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, July 30, 2010, from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
