Elvaline A. Nandory, age 92, of Black River Falls

Elvaline A. Nandory, age 92, of Black River Falls died Monday evening, April 26, 2010 at Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls, where she had lived since 2003.
Elvaline A. Lindow was born on April 2, 1918 in Black River Falls to Theodore C. and Amelia (Young) Lindow. She was raised in the Black River Falls area and attended Black River Falls High School.
She married Paul D. Nandory on June 23, 1936 in Black River Falls. Paul and Elvaline first lived in Black River Falls before settling in the Township of Brockway. Paul Nandory died on March 29, 1988.
Elvaline was employed at Harold Melbye’s Restaurant and the Real McCoy’s Restaurant of Black River Falls. She and her family also picked strawberries, blueberries, beans and cucumbers to supplement the family income.
She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, cooking, and baking.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Helen (Jerry) Finch of Eau Claire and Virginia (Eugene) O’Neill of Black River Falls; 4 sons, Harry Nandory of Jefferson City, MO, Robert (Linda) Nandory of Humbird, William (Deb) Nandory of Chippewa Falls, and James (Jamie) Nandory of Byron, MN; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 12 great, great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Madeline Buckner of Chaska, MN and Aldrena Fuller of Mauston; a brother, Arlie Lindow of Duke, MO; close friends and classmates, LaVera Riezinger of Black River Falls and Gertrude Williams of Chicago; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Paul, Elvaline was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Nandory; an infant great, great grandchild; a sister, Adeline Brown; brothers, Roswell Lindow, Creswell Lindow Sr., Theodore Lindow, and Armon Lindow; sisters-in-law, Ione Lindow, Gladys Lindow, and Rose Lindow; and brothers-in-law, Joe Buckner, John Fuller and Charlie Brown.
Funeral services for Elvaline A. Nandory will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church, 100 N. 4th St.. Rev. Lon Jury will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls.
Family and friends are invited for visitation from 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at the Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, and at the church on Friday from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M.
