LaVerne (“Lali”) Rybski, age 79, of City Point, WI and formerly of Chicago, IL died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in her home. LaVerne was born on November 1, 1930 in Chicago to Michael and Frances Kronon. She was raised in Chicago where she attended schools and graduated from high school. She married Michael “Mike” M. Rybski on April 30, 1950 in Chicago. The couple lived in Chicago until moving to Black River Falls in 1969. They later moved to City Point in 1970. Mike Rybski died on July 6, 2007. LaVerne had been employed by Teletype in Chicago for many years. She later was employed by the housekeeping department of Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls, for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Black River Falls and a former member of Martyr’s Chapel, Town of City Point, WI. LaVerne lived in the country and loved to watch and care for all the wild animals that visited her. She loved people. Family and friends commented all the time that no matter where she went she knew someone and loved to talk. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Marti (Paul) Graves of Madison and Sheilla (Gary) Gibson of Fall Creek; 4 grandchildren, Catherine, Latitia, Corey, and Jessie; 3 great grandchildren, Kenneth, Sully, and Ava; a brother, Michael (Mona) Kronon of Pensacola, FL; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Michael Graves. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Black River Falls. Rev. Fr. John Steiner will officiate. Burial will be in the Spaulding Cemetery, Town of City Point, Jackson County, WI. There will be a luncheon at the City Point Community Center following the the graveside service. Family and friends are invited for visitation at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 19, from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. The Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
