Rex Daniel Whitegull, age 55, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away at his home Monday, February 22, 2010. He was born December 18, 1954, to Millard and Bernice (Deer) Whitegull, in Black River Falls, WI. Rex graduated from Black River Falls High School. Following high school, he joined the Marine Corps. He worked for the Ho-Chunk Nation DNR services. Rex also worked during harvest time at Ellis, Ellis, and Dallman Cranberry Marshes, near City Point, WI. Rex enjoyed outdoor activities which include hunting, fishing, hiking, and canoeing. He was a member of the Andrew Blackhawk American Legion Post 129 Rex is survived by his daughter, Mary Mabel of Wisconsin Rapids; mother, Bernice Whitegull of Black River Falls, WI; sisters, Mary Whitegull of Tomah, WI, Rebecca LeGarde of Black River Falls, WI, Gwendolyn Whitegull of La Crosse, WI, Roxanne Anderson of Tomah, WI; brothers, Casey Whitegull and Kim Whitegull both of Black River Falls, WI; other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Traditional Native American services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at Andrew Blackhawk American Legion Post 129. Burial will follow in Decorah Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation Tuesday, February 23, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls, WI.
