Gerald “Jerry” Byrns Black River Falls, WI Gerald “Jerry” Byrns, age, 73, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at his home. Jerry was born on December 23, 1937 in Black River Falls to Ray and Alice (Dunnigan) Byrns. He was raised in the Black River Falls area and graduated from Black River Falls High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1961. His remaining work years were spent in the Twin Cities area, where he was Vice President in charge of operations, at Wagers Office Machines. He retired to the home farm, in the Town of Irving, where he lived until his death. Jerry enjoyed golfing and restoring vintage farm tractors. Survivors include brothers and sisters, Victor (Karen) Byrns of Black River Falls, Mary Tronic of La Crosse, Monica (Thomas) O’Connell of Madison, Barbara (Rod) Kerr of Portland, OR, Margaret (Gary) Ellingson of Osakis, MN, and Joan (Don Getty) Byrns of Wapiti, WY; sisters-in-law, Carol Byrns of Black River Falls and Cleo Byrns Stillwater, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alice Byrns; brothers, Michael, Paul, and David Byrns; brother-in-law, Arvid Tronick; and sister-in-law, Kathy Byrns. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4 to 6 P.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Buswell Funeral Home. A memorial service, with military honors, will follow at 6 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2011 also at the funeral home. Memorial may be given to Pine View Care Center, 400 County Rd. R, Black River Falls.
