Barbara Faulkner Fournier, 64, of Black River Falls, died Friday March 11, 2011 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. Barbara was born July 22, 1946 in Black River Falls to Herbert and Rose (Preston) Faulkner. She attended Gebhardt Elementary School and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1965. Barbara married Edward Fournier on May 29, 1982 in Black River. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2005. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Black River Falls and was employed as a Nurse Aid for several years at Family Heritage Nursing Home. Barbara was a member of Thompson-Redcloud VFW Post 1959 Auxiliary and volunteered for many years in the VFW food stand at the Jackson County Fair. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She coached T-Ball for several years, enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts and the Green Bay Packers. Barbara is survived by her sons, Scott A. Faulkner of Black River Falls and Jason J. (fiancée Robin Sturm) Faulkner of Black River Falls; sisters, Gloria Sebastian of Marshfield and Alice (Duane) Severson of Eau Claire; one brother, David Faulkner of Milwaukee. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Corey and Kaylee Erickson of Arcadia and Mackenzie Faulkner of Black River Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Buswell Funeral Home with burial in Sullivan Cemetery, rural Black River Falls.
